Foothill Ranch Homeowners Association is located within the incorporated City of Lake Forest. The HOA includes the area east of Portola Parkway from Lake Forest Drive on the south and extends to the northwest just beyond Alton Parkway. The HOA covers two areas that are commonly referred to as the "Bake" and "Alton" loops.

The HOA does numerous things to help Foothill Ranch. First, the HOA Board works to enhance the quality of life for our community by keeping it beautiful. Common area landscaping and maintenance of the pool and clubhouse, are examples of HOA responsibilities. Second, the HOA works with the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) to help protect the homes in Foothill Ranch. Fire breaks, ground cover removal, and other important protective measures recommended by the OCFA are managed by the HOA. Third, the HOA works with homeowners through architectural and landscaping guidelines to ensure that homes within Foothill Ranch are well maintained to increase our property values and provide an overall high quality aesthetic throughout the community.

According to the Association governing documents with the exception of Tract 11726*, homeowners are responsible for the replacement and upkeep of their mailboxes and mailbox posts. If you have any questions about the approved mailboxes or posts, please contact Management.* Tract #11726, Casa Verde, Del Padre, Morella, Entrada, Alta Vista, Sierra Blanco, Tizman, has the type of boxes that are "ganged" on a stucco pedestal. These pedestals are maintained by the association, and the boxes are owned by the US Postal Service. If a homeowner has trouble or loses a key, they must contact a locksmith and pay for the repair and trip.

Saddleback Valley School District is a school choice district and residents in Foothill Ranch have an opportunity to apply to attend any school in the district.

The Board of Directors of the Foothill Ranch HOA is responsible for the management of all aspects of the Association. The Board has hired FirstService Residential as the Association manager for our HOA. The Board enforces provisions of the CC&Rs, contracts for goods and services for the common areas, formulates rules of operation for the common areas, and facilities and conducts disciplinary proceedings against members of the Association for rule violations.
